Nifty holds above 8,250 on positive global cues; OPEC, ECB meets eyed

RUSHIL HIT TGT 410 MADE HIGH OF 419.80
Nifty staged a recovery in late trades after European shares reversed early losses even as focus shifted to the crucial meetings of OPEC members and the European Central Bank later today. Sensex ended up 129 points at 26,843 and the Nifty ended up 39 points at 8,220.  Kajaria Ceramics gained 2.9% to Rs.1140 after the company said that its board of directors will meet on 16 June 2016 to consider stock split. The company proposes to split face value of each share from Rs 2 to Re 1. Jyothy Laboratories jumped 5.8% to Rs.296 after the media report, Henkel has an option to buy up to 26% stake in the company. Crompton Greaves ended higher by 10% on the back of three-fold jump in trading volumes.
On the global front, Asian stock market closed on a mixed note. In China, the Shanghai Composite and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index closed up marginally. Japan's Nikkei 225 ended lower by 2.4% as the yen strengthened against the dollar.European stocks trading higher ahead of the outcome of the European Central Bank's (ECB) policy meeting later in the day. The FTSE 100 was trading higher by 0.36%. DAX and the CAC 40 are trading marginally higher.
