SENSEX ENDS HIGHER, NIFTY SETTLES BELOW 10,100

Indices ended in positive territory on Thursday trade. Sensex closed higher at 32,241 level gaining 55 points or 0.17% and Nifty closed higher by 0.07% or 7 points at 10,086 level. LT Foods closed higher by 4.88%. Thermax Ltd. closed higher by 6.28% at Rs 955 per share. Reliance Communications Ltd slipped as much as 2.3 per cent. Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd rose as much as 10.2 per cent. Axis Bank closed higher by 4.04% at Rs 519. and Tata Motors closed higher 3.63% at Rs 403. Tata Motors DVR was the top Nifty gainer ending higher by 4.50% at Rs 230.
GLOBAL MARKET:
Asian currencies are trading lower ahead of key data on China’s economy and U.S. inflation that will offer a guide for global economic growth and central bank actions. U.S. consumer-price and China’s August industrial production data due on Thursday. apan's Nikkei 225 edged down 0.12 percent after three straight days of gains. Across the Korean Strait, the Kospi rose 0.24 percent.The S&P/ASX 200 slipped 0.16 percent while the Hang Seng Index declined 0.42 percent. The Shanghai Composite traded 0.17 percent lower.
